About The Arts Pledge
Arts and culture are at the heart of what it means to be human.
They shape how we make meaning, express identity, build community and imagine new possibilities. When children and young people engage deeply with high-quality arts and cultural experiences, they develop confidence, resilience, motivation and a strong sense of belonging. Research shows that sustained arts participation promotes higher achievement and greater aspirations, particularly for those facing disadvantage.
How it benefits children
The Arts Pledge is a growing movement which ensures every child and young person benefits from this entitlement. We bring together schools, artists, cultural organisations and communities to cultivate rich, inclusive and inspiring creative communities.
